After Breakfast Proceed to Petra sightseeing. After lunch proceed to visit Madaba & After Mt. Neba Travel through the King’s Highway, the world’s oldest continuously used trading route to visit Mt Nebo. (Memorial of Prophet Moses, the presumed site of his death & burial places. He was given a view of the Promised Land from Mt Nebo from there, one can view Jordan Valley & the Dead Sea). Proceed to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Sheik Hussein Bridge to cross the border. Complete the customs, emigration formalities and enter into Israel. Lunch at restaurant. Visit Nazareth the boyhood town of Jesus and the Basilica of the Basilica of the Annunciation, where Archangel Gabriel appeared announce that Mary would bear a son. Stop by Joseph’s workshop and Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle, of changing water into wine at the wedding feast. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to the pools of Beit Hasda, where Jesus cured the crippled man. Walk through the Via Dolorosa (Way of Grief), traditionally accepted as the last route trodden by Jesus. Follow the 14 Stations of the Cross to Golgotha, place where Jesus was crucified marking significant events along the route. Visit the Pilate’s Judgments Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation (where the Roman soldiers scourged Jesus and placed a crown of thorns on His head), the Ecce Homo Arch and the Convent of the Sisters of Zion. The last 5 Stations of the Cross are inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher visible from a distance with two silver domes. Also “The Tomb” (widely believed to be the part of the stone that covered Jesus Tomb). Visit the Cenacle – Last Supper Room, the tomb of King David, the Wailing Wall, which is the holiest place for the Jewish religion. Lunch. Visit Ein Karem, the Birthplace of John the Baptist, and the Church of Visitation. Proceed to Dead Sea, where we stop at a private beach. It is the lowest spot on earth and do not miss the opportunity to float in the salty buoyant water, rich in minerals. Move to Bethania, the Town of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Visit Lazarus’s Tomb. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
